1609 meters or 5,280 feet. Which ever standard of measure you prefer, that is the distance of a mile. This distance was revered as the premier distance to race. During the 1960's and 1970's, the mile had countries racing against each other for national pride.
On July 18, while national pride may not be up for grabs, RunGR is providing you the opportunity to experience the fame & glory of the mile! Whether this is your first time stepping foot on a track or you are experienced, the Magic of the Mile will provide you excitement.
For the Elite Mile:
1st place: $100
2nd place: $50
3rd place : $25

First place: $25
Second place: $15
Third place: $10
Day of Registration Opens: 5pm
Kids 200 & 400 Meter Race: 6pm
Elite Mile: 8pm
Similar to a track meet, we will use a rolling schedule immediately following the Kids 200 & 400 meter races, with all women's heats running first. We will announce the start the start of each heat roughly 15 minutes beforehand. The heats are outlined below and placement on the starting line will be determined based on the order participants register, with those who registered first placed first.

Men's 70 and older
Youth running the 200 or 400 are free! Those competing in a heat are full price. If there are only a few individuals for a heat, we will combine you with the next gender's age group, but score your age group separately. For the Elite Mile, women must be able to break 6 minutes and men 5 minutes.
Spectators are free and encouraged to come out!
