1609 meters or 5,280 feet. Whichever standard of measure you prefer, that is the distance of a mile. This distance was revered as the premier distance to race. During the 1960's and 1970's, the mile had countries racing against each other for national pride.
On July 12, while national pride may not be up for grabs, RunGR is providing you the opportunity to experience the fame & glory of the mile! Whether this is your first time stepping foot on a track or you are experienced, the Magic of the Mile will provide you excitement.
For the Elite Mile:
1st place: $100
2nd place: $50
3rd place : $25
Thank you to Gazelle Sports for their support of the 2016 Magic of the Mile. Each age group will receive the following in gift cards to Gazelle Sports:
First place: $25
Second place: $15
Third place: $10
