Description
Join us on a cross-country course that will finish with a lap on the high school track during Relay festivities. Part of the course will follow the Thom Baird Trail behind the high school. Mostly wooded, hilly, grassy course with some paved areas.
Pricing: $15 until 9/02, $20 9/3 to 9/25. $25 race day.

Awards: Age group awards 3-deep. Male and Female. 15 and under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+

Packet pickup and late registration: Race day 7:30-8:30am at Grass Lake High School.
Course: Start/Finish area is on the track. (2) water stations on the course.
Plenty of parking available and access to stadium bathrooms.
The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be posted during the race and online at Playmakers.com.
Virtual 5k Run/Walk
If you cannot make the Run for Hope 5k Run/Walk in person, but would still like to support this cause, you can complete the Virtual Run for Hope 5k Run/Walk! A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill, at the gym or on the track (or even at another race). You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself. All participants will receive a medal!
What: This is a Virtual race, so you choose your own course and time yourself.
When: Complete your race any time on or before September 28th! *Medals will ship shortly after the race.
Where: You choose the course and you time yourself. E-mail coachcuddie@yahoo.com with your results. You may include more formal results from your Garmin, treadmill, or other fitness tracking device (although this is not required) all we need is your distance and your time via email.
Why: Proceeds from the event will support Grass Lake Relay for Life and will continue to contribute to programs and treatments to benefit everyone who is fighting cancer.
Cost: The price is $15 until 9/02, $20 until 9/25, and includes a finishers medal.

A Note about the EEE Virus
You may have heard there has been a finding of the EEE virus (carried by mosquitoes) in Jackson County. The health department recommends caution with activities happening from 7pm. to 7 am. We realize our race time is outside of the cautioned time frame but we wanted to take additional steps to create a safer course.
- The Grass Lake schools will be spraying the football field and adjacent ball fields on Wednesday, 9/25/19.
- We have changed our route to move the majority of the course within the sprayed area or in an area adjacent to them.
- There will be DEET bug spray available for the participants to use
We feel we still have created a fun and challenging course!
