The Canal Run is proud to announce proceeds from the 2021 Canal Run will go to the Omega House through the Canal Run Gives Back program. This program has put $10,000 into nonprofits that serve Baraga, Houghton, Keweenaw or Ontonagon counties since 2017. Omega House is located in Houghton, and since 2005 has offered a peaceful, homelike environment for terminally ill people and provides end-of-life care that emphasizes compassion, independence, respect and dignity. In cooperation with local hospice programs, Omega House provides residents with exceptional care and attention 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
