Description
Every year, L’Anse Creuse High School hosts a 5K run, virtual 5K run, 2 mile walk, and mini manatee mile. Last year we had 1,100 actual participants and 1,200 virtual runners from around the world. All proceeds are donated to the Save the Manatee Club to raise money to rescue and rehabilitate injured manatees. This event is held at Lake St. Clair Metropark, Michigan and run on a paved, certified 5K course along marinas and shores of scenic Lake St. Clair. All participants receive a commemorative manatee finisher's medal, race t-shirt and manatee bib. This event is family and dog friendly event, even dogs receive a canine medal.
Virtual 5K and Walk
We are excited to again offer a virtual race option. As a virtual race, feel free to run, swim, canoe, kayak or walk anywhere you’d like on your own time. Last year, we had almost 1,200 participants from all fifty states and nine different countries. All virtual participants receive t-shirt, manatee finisher's medal and race bib.
