Hillman Run The Runway 5K

Saturday July 6th please join us for the first annual Run The Runway 5K / "Taste of Hillman"  being held at the Hillman airport. 

Funds for this event will go to the Wings of Mercy of East Michigan.

About Wings of Mercy East Michigan  Wings of Mercy East Michigan was founded in 1995 by Cody Welch.  Cody an airline pilot formed this non-profit corporation whose charter and mission is to provide free air transportation in general aviation aircraft to and from major medical centers for financially challenged and medically qualified individuals requiring transportation to distant medical centers for treatment of unique conditions not available in East Michigan.  Wings of Mercy has made a immeasurable difference to over 275 Recipients. Based upon experience upwards of 80% of those using Wings of Mercy services would not have been able to receive specialized medical treatment if our services were not available.

Hillman Run the Runway 5K / TASTE of HILLMAN Event

• 7:00 am - Start the day with a Fly-in, Drive-in, Walk-in Pancake Breakfast
• Pre-registration for the Races continue until 9:00 am
• 9:30 am Open ceremonies begin with Prayer and VFW Honor Guard's Salute to our Armed Forces
• 10:00 am Food Court will be open for business,  Featuring, Thunder Bay Resort, Jack's Landing, Chauncey's Pub and Highway Inn
• 10:00 am - 5K Races Begins
• 11:00 am Kids One Mile Race
• 11:45 am Runway Walk ( Free to Public)
• Awards to follow
• 1:30 pm the Airport Runways re-open for aircraft departures
• Arts and Crafts and all vendor booths remain open throughout the day
• Antique Airplanes will remain on display throughout the day
• 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm there will be a Hanger Dance with music from the 60's

Wings of Mercy East Michigan representatives will be on hand to share information about their organization and experiences and want to say "Thank You" to the Community of Hillman.
