Description
Join us for our 1st annual Colors for Cancer Run to bring awareness for the fight against cancer. Each color represents a different type of cancer; such as Pink for Breast Cancer, Blue for Prostate, Lime Green for Lymphoma, Orange for Leukemia, and Purple for all Cancers.
Our race is looking to bring awareness back to our community to show the importance of research and funds that are needed to help those with cancer and to continue finding treatments and cures.
We encourage all those who come whether you are participating or not to add some pizzaz to your appearance with fun colors like rainbow socks, rainbow hair, colorful tutus, or colorful pants. Wear a color that represents someone who is dear to you that is fighting the battle or a color in remembrance for someone who lost the battle.
Course is a scenic and accurate 5k.
Awards to top 3 finishers in each age group: 14 and under, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60 and over.
Special family rate when you register 4 people at the same time! $75
Race day Registration: 7:00-8:30 A.M
Proceeds to benefit Relay for Life American Cancer Society
The race will be chip timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be posted during the race and on the web at Playmakers.com.
Governor's Council Endorsement & Michigan Fitness Foundation Challenge
This race is endorsed by The Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and part of the 2018 Michigan Fitness Foundation Challenge. The challenge encourages Michiganders to engage with events that promote physical activity, health and wellness. You will receive a FIT point for every endorsed event you participate in or volunteer for from January 1, 2018 until December 31st, 2018.
