Huskies Out of Hibernation

This virtual 5k will fundraise money for Michigan Technological University's Innovative Global Solutions Enterprise to go to Vihiga County, Kenya to implement their aquaponics project. This aquaponics project services the people of Vihiga County who struggle to find a reliable source of food. 62% of the population is living in poverty. This virtual 5k will help support MTU students in their travels and give them the chance to apply their projects in the real world to a community that needs help.

With the $30 registration fee, each participant will receive a race t-shirt. In this virtual race, you have the chance to run where you want, when you want! Each participant will have a week to complete the 5k and post about their experience on social media! Make sure you tag IGS in your post!
