Keweenaw Chain Drive Cancelled
Due to the extension of COVID-19 restrictions into May and no clear guidance on whether or not we will be able to have large gatherings by Father's Day, we have made the tough and unfortunate decision to cancel the 2020 Keweenaw Chain Drive Festival. It will not be rescheduled for a later date, but if we get clear guidance early enough, we may hold an impromptu Trail Ride/Fundraiser. This will be some form of guided/group ride with a donation bucket to help support the maintenance work on the Maasto Hiihto and Churning Rapids trails. Announcements will be made on the Keweenaw Chain Drive Facebook page.

Description
The Keweenaw Chain Drive Festival is a two day mountain bike event in Houghton/Hancock. Day 1 is a challenging XC race using the Maasto Hiihto and Churning Rapids trail networks in Hancock, MI. One of the original point-to-point races in the UP, the Chain Drive is a challenging race on single track trails with a mix of flow, rocks, roots, and maybe even a little mud! Day 2 is an Enduro on the Michigan Tech trails in Houghton, MI that includes a youth Enduro. There are events throughout the weekend for the whole family including team events for Dads and/or Moms with their kids.
The proceeds from the two days of biking will be used for the on-going trail repairs and maintenance in the Maasto Hiihto and Churning Rapids trails.
