Description
Come join us for the 5th Annual Breylon Senn 5k RUn/Walk/Stroll. This event works to bring the community together to promote wellness while educating those participating about Mitochondrial Disease. In 2013, 4 year old Breylon Senn died from the incurable, neuro-degenerative disease after a life long battle. In 2009 the Breylon Senn Research Fund was created in an effort to raise money and awareness towards mitochondrial disease and help fund research towards a treatment or cure. 1 in 4,000 people suffer from this disease that deprives their body of needed cellular function to convert food into energy needed for organ function.
The 5th Annual Breylon Senn 5K features an all terrian 5k course that is timed for all participants, as well as a 5k walk/stroll on the track at Tri-County Area High School. This all abilities event also features a live auction and family fun activities.
