About This Event
Please join us on Saturday, September 29, 2018 for the Annual RUN KDC 5K & Walk. The run will take place at Mayor’s Riverfront Park, 251 Mills St in Kalamazoo.
In an effort to bring the community together to support the efforts of KDC, we are looking for sponsorships - individuals, families and businesses are encouraged to be a part of the Annual RUN KDC 5K & Walk
KDC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. Run KDC 5K is a 5k Run/Walk fundraiser for the Kalamazoo Deacons Conference (KDC), an agency that has been uncompromisingly serving the underprivileged in the community for more than 50 years. All funds raised from the race, goes a long way to help those in emotional, financial, and spiritual crisis.
All KDC services and programs are offered free of charge to the guests. During the last five years, KDC heard and responded to over 12,000 stories of people in distress and provided over $80,000 to people in need, 10,000 people received free clothing and thousands more received free furniture, household and personal care items.
All supporters can participate through volunteering, running or walking. Unlike other marathons, the Run KDC 5K & Walk is not just about how fast you can finish the race, but how your support strengthens the Kalamazoo community.

The KDC is a dog-friendly event - participants and pets are welcome but must be on a lease.
Entry Fees
Early Registration Fees - $20.00 through September 1, 2018 (11:59 pm)
Race Day Registration Fees - $25.00
**Tee Shirts cannot be guaranteed on race day after September 1st or on Race Day
Event Schedule
Day of Registration: 7:30 am to 8:45 am
5K Run and Walk: 9:00 am.
T-Shirts
T-Shirts are guaranteed for pre-registration participants before September 1st. T-Shirt availability after September 1st wlll be on a "first come, first serve basis". Please register early!!
Awards
Medals will be given to the top three finishers in each age group. Special awards will be given to the overall male and female finishers in the run and walk.
