Description

The 19th Annual Run for the Son will feature a 5k Run/Walk; the 5k event will start & finish at VerSluis / Dickinson Park and will take participants through streets surrounding Kalamazoo Deacons Conference and will also utilize a portion of the Kalamazoo River Valley Trail. There will be food, fellowship & awards at the ceremony by the finish line. The event is sponsored by Southern Heights Church, North Park Reformed, All proceeds will benefit the Kalamazoo Deacons Conference, a multi-cultural ministry offering assistance to those in need.

Packet Pick Up and Late Registration

On Friday, September 9, from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM packet pickup will be at Kalamazoo Deacons Conference at 1010 N. Westnedge in Kalamazoo. On Saturday, September 10, packet pickup will be from 7:45 AM to 8:30 AM at VerSluis / Dickinson Park at 1924 Douglas in Kalamazoo (within the complex, pickup is on Homerun Lane).

Awards

5K awards given to the first & second place in each age division. Divisions are 15 & under, 16-22, 23-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & over.

Directions

Events start at 9:00 AM at VerSluis / Dickinson Park in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This venue will take participants through the neighborhoods that are served by the Kalamazoo Deacons Conference. Please arrive prior to 8:45 AM to allow time to park.
