Description
Join the Kalkaska Rotary Club on April 25, 2020, as we present the Annual Wood Memorial Run! The Wood Memorial Commemorates Chad Wood and his father Stafford. Chad was an avid runner and a youth leader in many ways, and his father was one of Kalkaska’s most treasured teachers. In their memory, proceeds from the race are used to promote youth programs in Kalkaska County including scholarships, the all-night Senior Party, and Rotary Life Leadership Conference among others. We believe in developing leaders in our community who want to serve their community, and we appreciate your help! Thank you for your support as we try to live out our motto of “Service Above Self!”
The first 100 runners for the 10K and 5K will get a complimentary race shirt with their registration. Shirt size guaranteed if registered by 4/15.
Packet Pickup/Day-Of Registration
Packet pickup and registration will begin at 8:30 at the VFW Hall in Kalkaska off of Hyde St, near the Trout Town restaurant. The 1 Mile Fun Run will begin at 9:55 am, followed by the simultaneous start of the 5K and 10K run at 10:10 am. There will be one aid station location for the 5K run towards the turnaround on both sides of the street. There will be an additional aid station towards the turnaround of the 10K run as well. Water and snacks will be provided at the end of the race for the runners.
