Description
Come out and join Michigan Trail Experience for the first MTE Hot Dog5. This is a 5-mile loop around Sleepy Hollow State Park with hot dogs waiting for you at the end. The park contains over 2,600 acres including a river winding its way through the woods. The course will take you through prairie grass fields, hardwood forest, and stands of pine trees. This event will be chip timed with a 10 min start window. The marked course is mostly flat with approximately 270 ft of total accent. Very nice trails for running. This would be a great warm up race for the fall season. All entries will receive a 5L gear dry bag and finisher patches. The race will start and finish at the beach parking lot. This is a pet friendly event. There will be regular and vegan hot dogs. Follow Michigan Trail Experience on Facebook for race updates and upcoming races
Start Time: 9 AM
Entry Fee: $30 until July15th $35 from July 16th to July 22th.
Entry Fee 18 and under: $20 until July 15th $25 from July 16th to July 22nd
Be sure to preregister. There is no race day registration.

Results: Your accurate chip time and current overall and age group place will be texted to your phone and live on this site.
Awards: Overall finishers male and female will receive a Michigan Trail Experience T-shirt and an discount to a future race. First places in each age group will receive a Michigan Trail Experience T-shirt. Age groups for women and men are the following: 15 and under, 16-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, 65-74, 75- and over
A portion of the race proceeds will go to Woldumar Nature Center to support their programs and trails.

Parking at Sleepy Hollow
Enter on Price Rd parking is available at the main beach parking lot. Drive in and take that road all the way back to the lot. A Recreation Passport is required to enter the park. One can be purchased at the gate.
