Proceeds from the race will go to support the Michigan Running Foundation Kids run for $5 program. We are partnering with races across Michigan to help them offer a $5 entry fee for kids 18 and under. The Foundation pays the race $10 per entry for every 18 and under participant. This will make it possible for the race to offer a $5 entry fee for kids. We hope this makes it possible for families to sign up their kids to run with them and encourages young people to stay fit and run races at a very inexpensive race fee of $5.
Flexible start time: Start the race any time between 8:30am and 10am. There will be no crowded mass start. Keep an eye on the start line and begin your race when it is free of other participants. No more than 5 people will start at a time. The start line will be wide, and the space is very open to allow for proper social distancing. You do not have to feel rushed to get to the starting line. Start when you are ready and at your own pace.
Packet Pickup/Check-in area: The packet pickup/check-in area will be spaced out to allow ample room for social distancing. All race volunteers will be wearing a mask. We encourage participants to wear a mask when picking up their packet. Packet pick up will be held on race day October 24th, starting at 7:30 am until 9:45 am at Adado Riverfront Park
