Description
The Sparkler 5k was created in memory of Felisa Barnes who passed away in October of 2009 in a car accident. The race is called the Sparkler 5k because she always had a glow about her that lit up a room.
The proceeds from event go to the Felisa Barnes Memorial Scholarship Fund which awards two $750 scholarships to graduating students at Mason Senior High.
Course Description: Scenic course along the shores of Lake Erie and through beautiful Luna Pier Michigan. Well marked, accurate 5000 meters.
Awards: Award to overall and Master Winner. Awards to top 3 places in each age group.
Age Groups: 12 & under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+

Race Day Packet Pick Up will be 6:30 a.m. - 7:45 a.m. at the Clyde Evans pier.
