CIS 5K

Race Day Registration and Check in at Mancelona Senior Center, 122 E State Street, Mancelona between 7-8 am. Race starts and finishes at Howard & Main Streets (behind Mancelona Senior Center).  All profits benefit Communities In Schools of Northwest Michigan.

Communities In Schools of Northwest Michigan is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to surrond students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.  Because we’re in schools all day every day, we see the unique needs of each student and partner with teachers and community to address them.  Whether it’s clean clothes, help with school work, or emotional support to help a child cope with and recover from a traumatic event, we connect students with the relationships and resources they need to succeed.  During the 2020/21 school year, we partner with the following school districts:  Central Lake Public Schools, East Jordan Public Schools, Ellsworth Community School, Mancelona Public Schools, and Kalkaska Public Schools.

The CIS 5K Run is one of our major fundraising events to create sustainaiblity for us to "Be in schools to help kids stay in school".  Thank you for supporting our mission!
