Join the Marysville High School Student Council as they put on the 5th annual Pi Day 5K and 1 Mile Fun Runs presented by Farm Bureau Insurance, the Greg Badley and Ryan Welser Agency! This year's event is NOT chip timed, but everyone gets a finisher's medal, a cool long-sleeve tech shirt (guaranteed only to those who register before 2/28/18), and (obviously) pie after the race!
No age group awards will be given out, but the first overall male and female finishers for each event (the 5K and 1-mile) will be given a gift card to a local pizza joint to go get their own pizza pie!
Shirts are guaranteed only to those who register on or before February 28, 2018. A very limited amount of extras will be ordered and available at packet pickup/race day on a first come, first served basis.
To be true to the day, we are running the race on actual Pi Day even though it's a Wednesday, rather than Pi Day observed to put it on a weekend. The 1-mile walk/run will start at 5:30 pm, and the 5K will start at 6:00 pm. The course might be changed slightly this year to accommodate for rush hour traffic, but the course will still start and end at the Marysville High School bus loop.
MHS Student Council is hosting the race, and proceeds this year will go to support activities for the Marysville Education Association Scholarship Fund, which gives scholarships each year to MHS graduating seniors who intend to pursue a career in education. Please also consider donating after you register to the Starting Line Youth Running Fund, which will give 100% of donations to local children to help make the Pi Day race more affordable for them.
