Dansville Big Foot 5K

May of 2020 would have been the 40th running of Dansville's Big Foot Race. Due to COVID-19, the race was canceled.  We didn't want a year to go by without a Big Foot challenge so we were challenged to figure out how to make it virtual.  Dansville, Michigan is a rural school district, "Small but Mighty." This yearly event was a major fundraiser for our Athletic Boosters for things like annual scholarships, and equipment and jersey purchases. Yearly our Boosters pledge to cover equipment and jerseys so our Athletic Dept can contract to have a qualified athletic trainer available at most athletic events. Thankfully our students have been able to compete in Fall and now Winter sports but the Boosters have not been able to open concessions or run Big Foot to generate revenue. This virtual 5K is donation-based to help us help our Aggies to still be able to create those high school memories.  Memories of running onto a field or court and know what it is to be part of a team.
