Description
In the interest of the health of our students, families, friends, and staff the Hearts of Fun 5K is moving to a virtual race. What does that mean you might ask? So whether you run on a treadmill, jog around your neighborhood or walk around your block a few times, you participate independently, record your time and send in your time. You will have approximately 14 days to run this event, anytime between Saturday, April 18th to Saturday, May 2nd. This is all on the honor system. You will still receive a t-shirt, figuring out the logistics of distribution and we will let you know how that will work.
Remember, The Hearts of Fun Playground Project is working to raise $100,000 to fund a fully accessible playground for students who have physical and cognitive challenges and others with disabilities on the Ingham Intermediate School District campus in Mason, Michigan. The Heartwood, Hearts of Fun playground will be available for community use after school hours. The Hearts of Fun Playground will allow students with disabilities the opportunity to enjoy something all children should have the chance to do – playing outside on equipment that provides a safe and entertaining environment for them.
