The Hippity Hop 5K is officially back for 2021! Join us on Saturday April 3rd for an in-person event. We are lucky to once again be partnering with the Potter Park Zoo for the 5th annual Hippity Hop 5K! This year's event will be more socially distanced than in year's past, but we look forward to a great day regardless. The 5K run/walk will start and finish near the entrance of the zoo, while you can enjoy the scenery of the Lansing River Trail. All proceeds go to youth and families in Ingham County. The Child Benefit Fund has been assisting at-risk families in Ingham County for 40 years, providing funding for clothing, sports fees and equipment, emergency needs, extra-curricular activities, and holiday gifts for approximately 250-300 children per year.
The best part?? Every registered participant gets a FREE ENTRANCE into the Potter Park Zoo on April 3, 2021!!! Please visit the Potter Park Zoo website regarding the safety guidelines in place at: Safety Information | Potter Park Zoo

The race will have an open start time from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM to allow for a socially distant race. If you are looking for a more competitive race, please start your race between 10:00 AM and 10:30 AM. Otherwise, you can start the race at your leisure.
Virtual Option: Can't join us in person? We are also offering a VIRTUAL option. Run or walk with us from anywhere anytime from April 2 through April 4th! We will ship the t-shirts and treat bags for all registered children under 12.
Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, we will not be having a traditional Easter Egg Hunt. However, we will still be getting a visit from the Easter Bunny to meet and greet all participants, as well as a treat bag for each child under 12 that is registered!
Following the CDC guidelines, we require all in-person participants to wear a mask prior to and after the race. We also require all participants to avoid congregating in large crowds prior to or after the event. Due to the most recent executive orders from 3/19/21, we have limited the event to 300 participants. We are hoping to have as safe an event as possible!
Family pricing: Have other friends or family wishing to participate? Register with 3 or more people and receive a discount of $3 per registrant.
