5K for KEEFE

Chris Keefe was a 44 year old father of 2 young children.  He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and U of M offered only chemo for a dismal outcome.  His family decided to go to Cancer Treatment Center in Chicago where they had quickly accessed the cancer and attacked it with great vigor. This treatment brought promise of additional time with his family and friends. In spite of all the treatments and support, the cancer took Chris's life earlier this year.  

   Chris was extremely grateful for the additional time he had with his friends and family.  We hope to keep his spirit, determination and love for life alive through these contributions and benefits to the community. The Keefe family is hoping to use this money to build new dugouts for the baseball and softball fields.

We are looking for runners and walkers for a 2nd Annual 5K Run/Walk in his honor to help raise the funds needed to build dugouts in the lower fields in the Onsted Village Park in his memory. Amy, his widow, says he grew up playing ball at that park and she wants something tangible for her and their children to forever see and touch, as he has touched so many with his life and journey with Pancreatic Cancer.
