Goodbye Yeti

Each year the Western Running Club organizes the Goodbye Yeti event to symbolically chase the abominable snowman back to where ever he hibernates, so summer can begin. This enthusiastic event often includes a costume and/or spirit contest and though many runners are high school aged (the WHS boys track team will be there en mass) good fun and a quality run are sure to be had by participants of all ages. Also, participants who wish to walk or push a stroller will be welcomed and celebrated. It will be a beautiful day to get out and celebrate fitness.

For nearly a decade the Western Runners Club has supported fitness among the Western School District community by organizing events like the Goodbye Yeti road race, and by providing financial support to the cross country and track and field programs at Western's schools.
