Memorial Day 5K

Event Summary:
Proceeds from this event will benefit Love INC of the Greater Livingston Area and their efforts to support the homeless in Livingston County. Their mission is to help homeless individuals and families overcome barriers of transportation, child care, food, and basic needs, while they are in temporary shelter. Love INC, working together with local churches, provides homeless individuals and families the means to overcome these barriers. Event Details:

The 2013 Memorial Day 5K run/walk is part of the traditional Memorial Day observance held each year in downtown Pinckney. After the race hang out and enjoy live music in the park, free food, lots of family fun, and a great Memorial Day parade.

Monday Event Schedule:
7:00 - 8:15 am           Race Day Registration

8:30 am                      1 mile Kid's Fun Run Start
9:00 am                      5K Run/Walk Start
9:30 am - 1:00 pm      Inflatable’s, Face Painting & Fun for Kids

10:30 am                     Raffle
11:00 am - 1:00 pm    Free Food and Music in the Park

The Course:
The 5K Run/Walk starts at Peoples Church (1 Mile Kid's Fun Run will start and finish at the church) run along the Lakeland Trail, through Pinckney neighborhoods, and finish in downtown Pinckney. The 5K race is chip timed by Rotpac Racing Company.

Entry Fees:
5K Run & Non-Competitive Walk, $20 on/before May 20, 2013   -   $25 after May 20, 2013
Kids 1 Mile Fun Run, $8 on/before May 20, 2013   -   $10 after May 20, 2013

Packet Pick Up:
Friday May 24 from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm at Peoples Church located at 500 W Main St., Pinckney, MI  48169
Race Day from 7:00 am to 8:45 am at Peoples Church

Late Registration:

Age groups:  14 & under, 15 - 19, 20 - 29, 30 - 39, 40 - 49, 50 - 59, 60 & over
Overall male & female 5K runners
Top three male & female finishers in each group
Finishing memento to all participants of the Kid's 1 Mile Fun Run

Race t-shirts to all pre-registered participants. There will be a supply of shirts available to those registering on the day of the race. However, shirts will be given out on a first come basis.
