Light of the World Academy's Annual RUN FOR THE GOLD 5K & Kids Fun Run

Ready to run, have a blast, and make an impact? Join us for an unforgettable day of fitness, fun, and community at  Light of the World Academy's 13th annual Run for the Gold 5K & Kids Fun Run on Saturday, March 15th, 2025!

This much-loved race has hosted anywhere from 200 to 450 runners (depending on March’s weather) and their adoring spectators. The run is a mixture of Michigan country dirt roads, paved trail, and the streets of downtown Pinckney—a course that attracts all types of area runners. You'' want to stick around after the race for Pinckney's St. Patrick's Day parade!

• $35 March 10th -14th
• $40 on race day (online registration only)
• Kids run $10 

SCHEDULE 

10:00 am 5K starts 

11:00 am Kids Fun Run 

Awards will be given around 11:15

Awards for the overall male and female winner and include a gift certificate for a 50 minute stretch session at Stretch Lab in Brighton. 

Medals will be given to the top 3 runners in each age category for both male and female in the 5k race. Age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-69, 70 and older

The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be live and on this website after the race.

Kids Fun Run - no need for packet pick up! The day of the race, check in at PCYDI's red house in the park to get your tshirt (while supplies last) and head out into the park where our PE teacher, Mr L, will get you warmed up for your lucky run around townsquare park!
