The Plainwell Education Foundation RACIN' THE ISLAND CITY has been canceled.  

Because of the uncertainty of the current Covid-19 situation,  the Plainwell Education Foundation team has made the difficult decision to cancel the June 18, 2020 event.  The health and safety of our runners, spectators, sponsors and staff is our greatest concern.  It was a extremely difficult decision to make.  We appreciate the support that participants have made towards the Plainwell Education Foundation charity.  Over the many years of holding our event, we have been blessed with the participation and fundraising efforts.  We will miss everyone this year. Thank you for all your efforts in raising much needed funds for the Plainwell Education Foundation.

We plan to return for a fantastic 2021 event.  Stay safe and healthy!!

** Events: 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Family Fun Run!

** Where: Streets of Plainwell ~ Start & Finish at Hicks Park

• 1 Mile Family Fun Run (6:40 p.m.) ** 5K Race (7:00 p.m.) ** Awards to Follow.

Packet Pickup & Registration

• Packet pickup and "same day" registration will begin at 5:00pm. Pickup, Registration, and race will begin at Hicks Park in downtown Plainwell.

Registration Fees

• 5K RUN/WALK: Pre-Registration: $25 Until June 16th (11:59 pm).  Race Day Registration: $30.
• Kalamazoo Area Runner discounts expire on May 31st (11:59 pm)
• Plainwell Public School discounts expire on May 31st (11:59 pm)
• 1 Mile Family Fun Run: FREE.

Tee Shirts

• Participants must register before May 31st to be guaranteed a Tee Shirt.

Age Categories and Awards

• Medals for the top 3 places for each age division
• 5K: 14 & Under; 15-18; 19-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60 & OLDER.
