Description
(3/13/2020) TO EVENT PARTICIPANTS:
Hopefully you received yesterday’s email detailing how the 2020 Leprechaun Loop has transitioned into a ‘virtual run’, and the actual event on Saturday, March 14, 2020, has been cancelled. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding. We have received overwhelming support of the decision we’ve made, and we can’t tell you enough how much we appreciate you and all our YMCA supporters.
As stated in the previous email, Packet pick-up is taking place today until 8:00 PM at the Y (1525 3rd St, Port Huron, MI 48060) across from the Welcome Center on the top floor. If possible, please pick-up your packet & bib materials. As always, a friend or family member may do the pick-up. If you are unable to pick-up your materials today, your items will be mailed to you within the next week. We will NOT have bibs and shirts for pick-up tomorrow (Saturday), as they will be in the process of being packaged up to be sent to you next week.
Now Let's Get Virtual
To submit your virtual times, please visit (https://bluewaterymca.enmotive.com/users/login) and follow the instructions. You will then be able to download, print and/or share your customized finisher's certificate.
What about the Blue Water Race Series?
All registrants in the 2020 Leprechaun Loop, no matter which event, are eligible for the Blue Water Race Series as long as you register for the remaining five (5) events. To learn more about the BWRS, please visit us at bwrs.enmotive.com.
Where are my results?
Due to the current circumstances, we are unable to provide any result listings for overall, gender, or age-group brackets. The virtual times that you upload are for bragging rights only, and cannot be submitted as proof of a qualifying time for any event.
Can I upload photos?
Yes! We ask that you capture the fun times that you have with friends and family as you 'virtually' run. Just upload your photos to your Facebook page, and be sure to mention @YMCA of the Blue Water Area, @EnMotiveMI and/or use hashtag #2020LepLoop.
Again, we thank you for your understanding and continued support.
YMCA of the Blue Water Area
(3/12/2020) A Message to Our Leprechaun Loop Run Participants & Volunteers about the YMCA’s Response to Coronavirus
The YMCA of the Blue Water Area is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone who enters our doors. There are growing concerns about the potential spread of coronavirus, and in an effort to keep you and your family healthy and prevent the spread of germs, we have determined that it would be best to transition the 2020 Leprechaun Loop into a ‘virtual run.’
Never fear – you can still get out and move between Saturday and March 28th. Just do it as part of our virtual run. Virtual running works exactly the same as any other type of running but the difference is that the race can be run at any location, at any pace, inside on a treadmill or outside in your neighborhood. All you have to do is provide evidence that you have done it.
We thank our volunteers for signing-up to help support this event and will regrettably not need your assistance on Saturday. Thank you again for supporting the Y and your willingness to lend a helping hand!
HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
· All runners will receive an email communication from EnMotive later today or tomorrow on how to record and submit your run times if you would like to take part in the ‘virtual run’ and/or record your time for the Blue Water Run Series. You may submit your virtual run times within the next two weeks, no later than March 28th.
· Make it fun! Take pictures in your Leprechaun Loop shirt and/or with your running buddies and post it to your social media accounts. Tag ‘YMCA of the Blue Water Area’ and use hashtag #2020LepLoop.
· Packet pick-up is still scheduled on Friday, March 13th at the Y across from the Welcome Center on the top floor from 8:00 AM-8:00 PM. If possible, please pick-up your packet & bib materials. As always, a friend or family member may do the pick-up.
· If you are unable to pick-up your materials on Friday, your items will be mailed to you within the next week.
Standard race policy states that, when emergency conditions such as weather, threats of terrorism or medical emergencies force cancellation of an event, refunds cannot be provided since moneys have been spent in preparation for Race Day. Such is the case with the 2020 Leprechaun Loop.
Thank you for your continued support of the YMCA of the Blue Water Area and our programming. We plan to return with a bigger and better Leprechaun Loop Run in 2021!
