RunTough for Team Lexys 2020 (VIRTUAL)

Sat September 26, 2020

Description

Lexys Lamp was born on August 27, 2009. Diagnosed with DIPG September 29, 2014, she fought DIPG for 14 months. Forever 6 yrs old. Lexys was diagnosed with DIPG after noticing what we thought was just a lazy eye with a trip to an eye doctor. Upon diagnosis, she completed radiation with a biopsy and a clinical trial at Children’s Hospital of MI through a team in Boston MA. Lexys was one of the 1st in MI to complete 42 rounds of radiation and completed 7 full months on the Panobinostat clinical trial. She loved princesses, arts and crafts and helping others. She had a true heart of gold. She had a certain charisma about her that within a matter of minutes you fell in love with her. She was and always will be a true Shero (girl hero) She fought DIPG with courage and determination and never once let it define her. She won her battle and passed away peacefully in her mom’s arms twice at home surrounded by family and friends Nov 23, 2015. We donated part of her tumor to Boston MA to help research in finding a cure. Our lives will never be the same. She deserved more than 4% and so do all these children.                           Facebook Page: TeamLexysLamp
