RACE 2 RESCUE 5K COLOR RUN AND WALK

Where: Stony Creek Metropark EASTWOOD BEACH, Shelby Twp., MI

When: June 21, 2025

Time: 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

CHECK-IN, PACKET PICK-UP AND DAY OF REGISTRATIONS BEGIN AT 8:00 a.m on the day of the event.

  • Hey there! As runs go, this is the undisputed daddy of fun! It's a total blast in fact... COLOR BLAST! Come on out, and make some joy-filled memories that will last forever with your family and friends! Get 3 more participants to register and you will receive $15 off your registration! Woohoo! What a deal!
  • Participants can run, walk, or do both at our event. Whether you are a competitive runner who strives to win the 5K or a casual walker who wants to support our cause - we welcome everyone at every level of participation to our Color Run and Walk. Strollers and wheelchairs are welcome too! This event is considered a road race. Walking and racing take place on paved surfaces at beautiful Stony Creek Metropark. Runners and walkers of all ages are invited to join us. You can choose to pass through blasts of color or side step it if you prefer. Join the fun at our community safety event for children and families.
  • We also take the time to honor our amazing local first responders for all they do including participating in our event. Bring your kids so they can meet our LOCAL SUPERHEROES! The Michigan State Police, the Macomb County Sheriffs, and local fire and rescue first responders will be at this event.
  • You can be also be a part of our vision to make an impact locally, in our state and across this nation, to help children. We know education is the key to prevention! By participating, you are helping us continue to educate families on how to keep children safe and helping to raise funds to rescue and restore children.
  • We know that we can do so much more together than we could ever do alone. EVERYDAY HEROES like you are NEEDEDWhen you participate in our 9th annual Everyday Heroes Needed: Race 2 Rescue 5K Color Run & Walk, you are a voice for the voiceless. 
  • Divergence will be spinning the latest tunes at this high energy event.
  • The Michigan State Police and the Macomb County Sheriffs partner with us to provide information and tips about how to keep children safe.
  • Our Raffle will include tons of fun prizes for kids and adults alike.
  • We also provide educational material about how to keep children safe online.
  • Donut Eating Contest-the Winner receives a $25 gift card!
  • We have a great after-party celebration and food.
  • Everyone will have a blast as we end the event with a with a GIANT COLOR BLAST!
  • The overall top male and female finishers will win a gift card worth $50.00!
  • Medals will be awarded to the first 100 finishers.
  • So much has changed in our world in the last few years. But the trafficking of children hasn't stopped. It has spiked during this unprecedented time in our history. Vulnerable children still need our help! We are committed to continuing our efforts to make an impact. We advocate for the protection of all children.

$35 Early Bird Rate through April 13, 2025  |  $40 regular rate from April 14, 2025 forward 
$10 Early Bird Rate for Children ages 6-12 through April 13, 2025  $15 regular rate for Children ages 6-12 from
April 14, 2025 forward  |  Children 5 and under are FREE!
REFERRALS:  If 3 people you refer to the event register to participate, YOU GET $15 OFF YOUR REGISTRATION.
 
Please note that this event will be a blast run rain or shine!  In the event of inclement weather that includes thunder and lightning, we will delay the start of the event for up to one hour.

• “At any given time, there are an estimated 750,000 child predators online - and they all have a key to your house via the internet.” Says Sean Henry, Executive Assistant Director of the Criminal Cyber Response and Services Branch of the FBI.

 

 EVERYDAY HEROES NEEDED RACE 2 RESCUE MISSION:

  • Be a voice for the voiceless
  • Help raise funds to rescue the innocent
  • Help raise funds to build & staff safe houses
  • Help raise funds to provide medical and psychological care
  • Host community safety events for children & families
  • Educate & empower teachers, parents & communities regarding ways to protect the purity & innocence of children
  • Educate parents & the community about the dangers of social media, gaming, and peer pressure

Together with our first responders, we provide educational material with practical tips to keep children safe including 911 safety, fire safety, stranger danger, water safety and moreRAFFLE 2 RESCUE: 
We will hold a raffle to help raise funds for our cause. We support local business and have lots of amazing prizes for all ages. Raffle Ticket are $1 each, 6 for $5, and 12 for $10. Purchase your tickets and select which items you want to win! To make it easy for everyone, we accept Venmo and Cash App donations at our events.
