Description
Tone Up for Tune Ups is a charity fitness event focused on helping local families in need of car repairs.
Our 6th annual Tone Up for Tune Ups 5K is on Saturday May 20, 2017 at 9:00am. TUTU is a family friendly 5K Run/Walk event for all ages (1 Mile course optional). The event takes place at Covenant Prebyterian Church in Southfield, MI. Refreshments will be provided before and after the run for participants. Sponsor booths will be setup with raffle prizes and free samples to enjoy.
There are countless families struggling with something that many of us take for granted each day: transportation. Major car repairs seem to pop up at the wrong time and the associated costs can be a fatal blow to an already struggling family. This desperate situation can leave people without a way to get to work and provide for those who rely on them. The funds raised in "Tone Up for Tune Ups" will go to qualified people screened by the Department of Southfield Human Services who need financial support to repair their vehicles. All donations made to Tone Up for Tune Ups 501(c)(3) are tax deductible under the full extent by law.
