Women & Teens CPC

Women & Teens Crisis Pregnancy Center is a non-profit, faith-based, Christ-centered, church-supported organization.  Our mission is to honor Jesus our Lord by promoting Life as we serve women and teen girls who believe that they may be in a “crisis pregnancy situation.”  Women & Teens CPC strives to offer fundamentally sound, Biblical assistance—all free of charge.  Please view our website for more information (http://www.womenandteens.org).

Run for Life

The Run for Life is an annual event intended to raise funds for and awareness of Women & Teens CPC.  In addition to paying a race registration fee, participants who wish to support Women & Teens CPC are encouraged to acquire sponsors.  (Sponsorship donations are tax-deductible.  A receipt will be mailed to each sponsor who provides the necessary contact information.)

Our 2013 5K Race is being held in Sterling Heights at beautiful Dodge Park, the centerpiece of the Clinton River Parks system.  Dodge Park is accessed by car from Utica Rd. at Dodge Park Rd., directly across from Sterling Heights City Hall.  The address is 40492 Utica Rd., Sterling Heights, MI 48313.

The course runs along the scenic Clinton River, providing a moderate challenge and beautiful sights and sounds.  Runners have been known to spot deer and hawks along the way!

T-shirts
We plan to provide T-shirts for all runners who preregister by August 3, 2013.

Race Categories
Based upon preregistration turn-out, runners may be placed into the following categories and divided by gender (subject to change).

 

• Children & Teens (0-19)
• Young Adults (20-34)
• Adults (35-49)
• Adults Advanced (50+)

 

Awards & Prizes 
Medals will be awarded to the winner(s) of each category and cash prizes will be awarded to the top overall male and female winners!

Results
Official time will be kept and Race Results will be posted online within 48 hours after the race.  Hansons Race Management(www.hansonsracemanagement.com) will be providing a Start Line, Official Timing and a Finish Chute.  They did a great job for our 2012 race!

The Course
We will be following the same 5K course from last year, which is posted at MapMyRun.com.

Refreshments
Complimentary refreshments will be made available for all race participants.

• Sign-in - 7:30am to 8:30am
• Start Time - 8:30am
• Awards Ceremony - 9:30am

Want to support the event but can't make it to the Run?  You can make a tax-deductible donation either by sponsoring a Runner or by sending a check, made out to "Women & Teens", to 263 Cesar E. Chavez, Pontiac, MI 48342.  Contact us at runforlife.mi@gmail.com with any sponsorship questions.  Receipts will be furnished for all donations, including sponsorships.  (The Run for Life registration fee is not tax-deductible.)
