Big Red Machine Glow Run 5K

Event description:

Come light up the night with the Vicksburg Bands! Join us for the 6th Annual Big Red Machine Glow Run 5K on September 17th!  Race begins at 5:00 pm on the Vicksburg Trail and through the Vicksburg Recreation Area.  Parking is available at the historic village and the pavilion area. All proceeds benefit the Vicksburg Bands program. Registration fee includes short sleeve t-shirt and glow necklace. Additional glow accessories available for purchase at packet pick-up and late registration.

Virtual Race Option Available:

With a virtual race, you can run the distance anywhere, for example in your neighborhood, on a treadmill, at a nearby park, or on our original course! You will have between Saturday, September 17th and Sunday, October 2nd to complete your race and upload your time. Virtual races are self-timed. Virtual participants will still receive this year’s race shirt and official race bib.  Instructions for submitting times for the Virtual Event will be emailed to participants before the virtual race opens.

Registration Dates and Fees:

• Online Registration Closes on September 15, 2021 @ 11:59 pm.   Race Fees - $25.00
• Special Age Based Pricing - 18 years and Under $20.00
• Race Day Registration Race Fees - $30.00  (T-Shirts cannot be guaranteed after September 6th)

Event Times:

• Saturday Race Day Late Registration - at the Pavilion from 3:30 pm to 4:45 pm
• Saturday Packet Pick Up  - at the Pavilion (N Richardson St, Vicksburg) from 3:30 pm to 4:45 pm.
• Saturday Race Time - 5:00 pm

Awards and Age Categories:

• 1st through 3rd (both male and female) for the following categories:  under 14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50 and over
• No Awards or age categories for the  Virtual Event

Tee Shirts:

Neon shirts with glow in the dark lettering - shirts cannot be guaranteed for registrations after September 4th.

Timing and Scoring:

Timing and Scoring will be done by Mac's Sports Timing.  Go to www.macssportstiming.com for results immediately after the event.
