Description
Join us Saturday, April 25, 2026, for the Book It! 5K and Fun Run/Walk in support of the Waterford Township Public Library. This family friendly event welcomes kids and pets. The 5K will feature timing with results posted online at (LINK).
5K Run starts at 10:00 AM
5K Walk starts at 10:05 AM
Fun Run/Walk start at 10:10 AM
Entry fee includes a commemorative event t-shirt, participant medal, finisher medal for top 3 participants in each age category, a chance to win gifts from our sponsors and complimentary children's book for students. Price discounts available for the following:
- Ages 18 and under - $5.
- Groups of 5 or more: $5 discount for each member of the group.
NOTE: Register by Sunday, April 13, 2026, to guarantee a t-shirt and children's book as noted above.
Onsite registration closes at 9:30 am April 25, 2026.
Packet pick-up will start at 9:00 am on race morning. Check in will be at The Warming House, 5050 Civic Center Drive, Waterford, MI 48329. On the Civic Center Campus by the pond.
Event also includes an online Silent Auction of items donated by sponsors. Link will be posted in early April.

5k Route
The 5k route runs as follows:
- Warming House parking lot south to Civic Center Drive
- East on Civic Center Drive to Crescent Lake Road
- North on Crescent Lake Road to Hatchery Road
- West on Hatchery Road to Airport Road
- Turn to head east on Hatchery Road to Civic Center Drive
- South on Civic Center Drive to Tubbs Road
- Turn, to head North on Civic Center Boulevard to Civic Center Drive
- East on Civic Center Drive to return to the Warming House.
