TriWalloon has become a favorite with many multi-sport athletes from around the state.  We started in 2017 with 120 athletes.  Now, just a few years later we sell out with over 350 athletes registering each year.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

600 Meter triangular swim course starting and finishing at the docks of Legacy Marina. Transition area is right out of the water in the park next to Barrel Back Restaurant. The bike course is a 12.4 mile out-and-back route that follows the country roads along the south side of Walloon Lake. The run is a two-loop course through Walloon Lake Township, with a finish back at the park next to Legacy Marina.

Duathlon will start with one loop of the run course, then bike, then finishing with the full, two-loop run course.

Aquabike will start with the 600m swim and finish after the bike course.

Once again, 100% of the proceeds from this race will go toward the continued work of the inner-city ministry of Bridge Street Ministries. Please visit bsmgr.org for more information about this great mission.

Refunds

Refunds are available for a $5 fee up through April 30 before the race.  Through April 30 athletes can request a refund through their own RunSignUp account.   After that we start ordering materials for registered athletes and the race incurs additional costs for athlete refund.  After April 30, refunds or partial refunds will only be given in extreme circumstances, and by request.  Scheduling conflicts, change of heart, lack of training prior to a race, cancelled flights, vehicle troubles, oversleeping, or similar situations do not constitute an extreme circumstances.

Deferral

Deferrals are available until race week.  Athletes can request a deferral through their own RunSignUp account.

Race Cancellation

If you have raced with us before, you know that we will do everything in our power makes our race happen.  We will race in the rain, the wind, the hot and the cold.  The one thing we won’t do, however, is compromise athlete safety.  If there is lightning or other severe weather is detected in the area, or forecasted during the race, we will postpone the race for up to one hour.  After an hour we lose our lifeguards, sheriff, and traffic increases and we will no be able to guarantee athlete safety.  If the sever weather persists for an hour we will cancel the race.  Typically, we will make race day decisions and hold out until the last minute to try to make the race happen.

In the event that we need to cancel the race, no refunds or deferrals will be offered to participants as TriWalloon incurs all of the same cost whether we hold the race or not.  And because TriWalloon is independently owned and managed by Bridge Street Ministries, refunding registrations is not a cost that we can sustain.
