The 13 Grind is a non-competitive family-friendly Fun Ride! Grind = Mile and this family-friendly Fun Ride is designed on an out-n-back course so riders can choose to shorten their ride and turn back sooner, before reaching the official turnaround locations. The FREE (for 12 & Under) Kids Race is 20 minutes of racing and riding around the Start/Finish area!
13 Grind - For those seeking an adventurous and memorable experience, this will be the ultimate adventure! The 13 Grind course is an out-n-back 6.5 miles (13 miles round-trip) through portions of the Coronado National Forest while traveling by Peppersauce Campground and nearby Peppersauce Cave. An Aid Station will be fully stocked at the turnaround for folks to enjoy the views of the San Pedro River Valley and Galiuro Mountains while refueling for the ride back to the Finish at the 3C Ranch. The entire ride is on gravel/dirt roads with little to no motor vehicle traffic. Conditions of gravel roads can vary from hard-pack, to rutted or washboard depending on the last time the roads were graded and/or touched by monsoon downpours. Elevations undulate along the course around 4500 ft. Average high temps are in the upper 70’s low 80's for this time of the year. A Mountain Bike is highly recommended, however, you won't be alone if you choose to challenge yourself and the terrain on a drop bar Gravel Bike.
