Run Against Hunger Virtual 5K

Want to help us in the fight against hunger and food insecurity? You've come to the right place! Fasting For Friends is a student-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Minnesota with a mission to aid underfunded and understaffed food shelves in food insecure communities. This virtual 5K run will help raise money for both our organization and food shelves in need in order to help provide meals for food insecure individuals. Our goal is to raise money as well as awareness about food insecurity and the impact that it has on communities. To date, we have aided 7 food shelves with funding, PR, and volunteering, and have helped provide over 6000 meals in more than 7 cities. We have also developed multiple lessons plans to teach youth about food insecurity in collaboration with various educators. We are strong advocates for developing solutions to combat food insecurity as we have begun actively engaging in policy work and speaking with communities through various events. Feel free to run or walk this race but just be sure to get your results recorded before the deadline! Additional donations are not required but are very much appreciated.
