Description

Welcome to race registration for the 11th Annual Waters Of Life Lutheran Church 5K.  This year we  will be raising funds for Gnesen and Fredenberg Volunteer Fire Departments.  

The Gnesen and Fredenberg Volunteer Fire Departments  stand as pillars of safety and protection for our local community. Nestled amidst the serene landscapes of Minnesota, these vital fire protection services serve as a beacon of hope in times of crisis. With a dedicated team of volunteers ready to spring into action at a moment's notice, these departments play a crucial role in safeguarding lives and property in the region.

From battling raging infernos to offering assistance in medical emergencies, these Volunteer Fire Departments are a trusted ally in times of need. Their unwavering commitment to swift response times and effective crisis management sets them apart as a reliable force in the face of adversity. Through their tireless efforts and unwavering dedication, they embody the true spirit of community service and protection.

EARLY BIRD PRICING (valid now through July 15, 2025): $30 for adults (over 18) and $20 for Children 10-17, under 10 is free. And Additional $20 per adult and $10 for Children10-17 effective July 16, 2025. 

The route begins and ends in the Church parking lot.  There is limited parking so car pooling is suggested. This is a  run/walk/bike for all ages!  This year we are again offering a virtual event for those who can not participate with us.

ALL runners/walkers/bikers should pre-register using this site by July 31, 2025 to guarantee your shirt size. If registering as a family or as a group, please designate a team name (have fun, be creative) so that t-shirts and bibs can be grouped and only one person will do pickup for all. Make sure to share your team name with the rest of your group if they will be registering separately from you.

Each individual person needs to be registered, including children. Participants will be allowed to sign up on race morning starting at 8 a.m. (shirts not guaranteed). On race day, pre-registered racers will pick up their bibs (for all participants) and shirts  starting at 8 a.m. and up until the pre-race festivities begin.  

Donations – If you are able to donate extra for the cause, donations can be made via this registration process online, and/or in person on race day at the t-shirt pickup spot.

8:30 am   Pre-race/Announcements/Lineup

9:00 am   Race

The race route is comprised of partial hard packed gravel and blacktopped surfaces. All ages welcome. Strollers welcome. There are bathrooms on the premises. Water will be provided pre, during and post race. Parking available at race start. Carpooling is recommended.
