New in 2020, the Northside Adventure Program is a year-round program that introduces North Minneapolis youth of all ages to new outdoor activities like cross country skiing, mountain biking, trail running, orienteering, and paddling. The program occurs 2-3 days per week after school, and throughout the summer. The program uses outdoor adventure to help youth gain personal connections with their neighbors that promote healthy habits both on and off the trails, while also familiarizing them with Minneapolis’s largest regional park, Theodore Wirth Park, which is right down the road from their homes. Our goal is to instill a passion in these youth for the outdoors and a realization that everyone has the right to use these outdoor spaces. Unlike our other programs listed below, the Northside Adventure Program is tied to a geographical location instead of specific schools.
Please review the Behavior Policy with your child before the program begins.
