Spring Into Action: Physical Therapy 5K

The University of Minnesota Division of Physical Therapy is hosting the 3rd Annual Spring Into Action 5k run/walk to benefit the Foundation for Physical Therapy. Proceeds from this race will help fund physical therapy research – including work done at the U of M. For more information, check out their website: www.foundation4pt.org

Register by noon on April 6th in order to secure the proper t-shirt size.  After this point there will be no guarantee of a shirt or proper sizing.

Registration: Check-in will begin at 8:45 on the Front Plaza on the north side of Coffman Union on the University of Minnesota campus (300 Washington Ave SE, Minneapolis, MN 55455). We will also still be accepting same day registration for $20.

Race begins: The run / walk will begin at 9:30 am. The race course is attached here. Participants will complete the loop twice, ending in front of Coffman Union. Prizes will be given to the top three male and the top three female finishers.

Raffle Prizes: There will be over 20 raffle prizes consisting of an Aspen Medical Staffing Eddie Bauer jacket ($100 value), Motion Physical Therapy t-shirt, Lake Monster Growler and hat, 1 month free membership at LA Fitness, and multiple gift cards to local businesses. Each person will receive a raffle ticket with their registration with the option to buy more tickets for $1 each that will also go towards the Foundation for Physical Therapy. Make sure you bring some cash! Venmo will also be an option.

Restrooms: Bathrooms are located inside Coffman Memorial Union. Volunteers will be available to direct on race day.

Transit/Parking: The nearest parking ramps are the East River Road Parking Garage, the Church Street Parking Garage, or the River Flats (located on the south side of East River Road across from the entrance to the East River Road Garage). There are also 2 hour meters located along East River Road. For public transit, take the green line and exit at the East Bank Station or any MetroTransit buses that drop off at stop 13207 or 13209.

T-shirts can be picked up the day of the event, either before or after you finish the course.
