Wave to Winter Open House

Join the Loppet Foundation for a FREE celebration of the end of winter at The Trailhead in Theodore Wirth Park on Saturday, March 13th, from 10am – 4pm!

Enjoy the beautifully groomed trails, hike/snowshoe on our multi-use trails, try out the newly opened Cross-Country SkiX terrain park, and grab food and drinks from Mill Valley Market while enjoying a live DJ on our outdoor patio.

Snowshoe, Cross-Country Ski, and Snow Tube rental deals are available on a first-come-first-serve basis from The Trailhead.

Stop by one of our Loppet Foundation booths to learn more about the Loppet Foundation, our many programs and events, and how you can become a Loppet member.

Masks will be required and social distancing will be practiced.

Beginner Ski Clinics

• Beginner Ski Clinics will be held at 10:00am, 11:00am, and Noon.
  
• Clinics last roughly 30 minutes.
  
• Both Skate and Classic Ski Clinics will be available.
  
• First Come First Serve: Clinics will be limited to the first ~20 people to arrive for them.
  
• Meet at the Loppet Foundation tent in the Lower Stadium.
  
• Bring your own equipment or rent equipment at The Trailhead starting at 9:00am.
  
• Please line up to get rentals from the ticket window at The Trailhead no later than 30 minutes before the start of your clinic.

Run with Abdi Bile

• Join World Champion and 4-time Olympian Abdi Bile for a short informal run and an introduction to the Loppet Run 365 program.
• ~30 minutes of running on paved trails near The Trailhead.
• First Come First Serve: Runs will be limited to the first ~15 people to arrive for them.
• Runs start at 10:00am and 1:00pm.
• Meet at the Loppet Foundation tent in the Lower Stadium.

This is a FREE event open to the public. However, due to COVID-19 guidelines, everyone will be required to sign up before entering The Trailhead area, so we know how many people are planning on attending and so you can fill out our event waiver.
