Westonka Warrior Run Frequently Asked Event Questions
What is a Warrior Run? Our event is rooted as a color run full of colorful color blasts. As we have grown, so has our event! We’ve added additional fun experiences to make our run interactive for all ages! Not only will there be a lot of fun color, there will be inflatable obstacles, slides and foam!\
Event Packet Pick Up: MWHS on May 17th, 3:00-7pm & May 18th 7:30-8:45 am at the event - We strongly encourage you to stop by the night before and beat the rush!
Can I Still Register After May 1st? Yes! Online registration will remain open until May 16th. Starting May 17thyou may register in person at our Packet Pick, 2-7pm & May 18th 7:30-8:45 am at the event. However, t-shirt availability is not guaranteed after May 1st. We recommend picking up your registration materials early for best selection.
Can I drop my student off at the event? All Primary Students MUST be accompanied by a paid adult.
Can I bring my stroller? Absolutely! Keep in mind that anything you bring will likely look like a rainbow at the end of the event.
My child is in preschool, do I need to pay for them? This is a fundraiser for our schools and we ask that any participant not in a stroller, register for the event.
Event SWAG! Don’t forget to pick up some SWAG to wear to the event!
Parking: Allow ample time to park. Where possible car-pool to the event, as we are expecting a large crowd. Parking is not allowed along the streets of the route!
Start Time: 9am Sharp – directly across from Mound Westonka High School parking area- (MWHS 5905 Sunnyfield Rd, Minnetrista) on the Track.
When should I come? Come early for the 8:15am Warm Up Party, hosted by Jen Trundle.
I’ve heard there is an after party? Part of the fun of our Warrior Run is the PARTY that happens after! Be prepared for some great Music, Food Trucks, and tons of Color Blasts!
Can I bring my dog? Sorry Fiddo will need to stay home for this event. Per Westonka District Policy, our furry friends must stay off of school property. Besides, most furry friends would not appreciate looking like a rainbow.
What is the Color Powder Made of? We will rock your world with color but never take your health for granted! The Color Blast Dust is safe, non-toxic and washable!
Ingredients: Corn starch and FD&C and/or D&C colors. Color safety information: Approved for use in foods, cosmetics and/or drugs. These products are not considered hazardous, 29 CFR 1910-1200.
Wear a bandana or face mask if you or your child have asthma or allergies. It is a fine dust that could potentially aggravate current health conditions.
I really DON’T want to be Color Blasted! That is okay! Feel free to walk around the color stations along the route, enjoy our Dj & Food Trucks.
What do we do if it is raining? Although we’ve put in our request for 75° & Sunny, we can’t always get what we want. In the event of rain, the event will still be on! Bring a towel to dry off, we will party in the rain! In the rare event of inclement weather we will follow the Westonka District guidelines. Our first priority is keeping everyone safe.
Route: Begins across from MWHS in the parking area for our soccer fields- 9am sharp!
Can I Volunteer? Yes! Our Volunteer Sign Up will be sent out to the schools.
I can no longer participate, are there refunds? Unfortunately our FUNDraiser is not refundable after registration. You however may be able to use it towards your tax deductions. We would be happy to provide you with a receipt with our non-profit information. Thank you for your understanding.
