SOUND THE ALARM for the 12th Annual Chief Frantz Red Run 5k!

This family-friendly 5k walk/run brings the heat with kids’ activities, tasty food, and TONS of raffle prizes.

Register by June 26th to be guaranteed a race t-shirt!

All net proceeds from the Chief Frantz Red Run 5k benefit the Rice Lake Firefighters’ Relief Association. The RLFD is a volunteer fire department serving the City of Rice Lake and neighboring communities in Northeastern MN whose mission is to minimize the loss of life and property resulting from fire, medical emergencies, and other disasters.

Important Update: Red Run 5K – Air Quality & Event Changes
 
The safety and well-being of our participants, volunteers, and community are our highest priorities. Due to the current air quality concerns caused by wildfire smoke, we have made the decision to modify tomorrow's event.
 
After speaking with National Weather Service Meteorologists this morning, smoke conditions will improve throughout today before becoming elevated again around the 6am-10am window tomorrow.
 
Because of this and the uncertain timing, tomorrow's 5K will proceed on a shortened course to help reduce participants' exposure to the smoke while still allowing us to come together in support of Rice Lake Fire Department.
 
We understand that some participants may choose not to take part because of the air quality and we support those personal decisions. While we are unfortunately unable to offer refunds due to expenses we have already incurred, any registered participant who decides not to participate tomorrow will receive a complimentary entry to the Normanna Fire Department 5K held on October 3rd.
 
We are still holding shirt pick up and race check in tonight. Please come by and grab your shirts even if you decide not to partake in the race tomorrow morning. Our raffle will still be held in conjunction with the event, and we sincerely hope you'll join us to support our department, even if you decide not to run or walk. Your continued support means a great deal to our volunteers and our community.
