Description
The Long Lake Lap is a fundraiser event for the Rice Creek Boat Club hosted at Long Lake in New Brighton. Proceeds support keeping program fees low for juniors and adults. Thank you for supporting our organization!As in past years, all types of human-powered boats are welcome, but the featured event will be a canoe duathlon.
Schedule:
8 AM: Day-of registration (online registration encouraged!), Boat Number pick-up, Open Course
9 AM: Duathlon & Tandem Mass Start - Tandem boats will paddle one lap (4 miles) around Long Lake. Duathlon paddlers, after one lap tandem, will transition to a solo boat and paddle another lap!
10 AM: Solo Boat Mass Start (1 lap)
Where: Start/Finish at the Long Lake Regional Park Beach
No drafting rules in effect.
Prizes for the following categories following the events:
Top duathlon male, Top duathlon female, Top tandem athletes (for each person, taking out the top duathlon winners), Top solo male, Top solo female, and Back of the Pack award!
