Mask-er-aid 5K Fun Run/Walk - Hybrid Event

The Mask-er-Aid 5K Fun Run/Walk Fundraiser.  The Sauk Centre Area Chamber of Commerce invites you to our hybrid fun run/walk.

You can participate in this Hybrid Event In-Person, Virtually or you can choose the Donate button on registration if running isn't your thing!

The purpose of the Mask-er-aid is a fundraiser to help support the Sauk Centre Area Chamber of Commerce so that we can continue to offer a wide range of community events and scholarships, in an effort to recover a portion of what 2020 has taken as a result of COVID. We hope you will race to the finish line with us and help us finish the year strong. What better way than with a little fun and even better if you do it in costume! Whether you join us in-person or decide to take your run virtual...we'd LOVE to see your "Mask" and will be giving away Chamber Bucks for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place costume entries! So grab a friend, find a costume, and let's not run scared and finish strong!

IN-PERSON 5K RUN/WALK

Will take place on October 31.  Checkin starts at 8:00 am with the first wave starting at 9:00 am.  The Run/Walk will be held at Eagles Healing Nest in Sauk Centre.  This will be held much like a normal run/walk with adjustments made for Covid restrictions and guidelines.   During your registration process you will be able to signup for what corral/wave you want to start in.  There will be a maximum of 25 in each wave, with waves starting every 10 minutes.  Hand sanitation stations will be available and masks are encouraged when in groups while waiting for your start. Social distancing & current COVID-19 protocol guidelines will be followed. **Please note: That should state guidelines change that prohibit the race to take place in person, this will be then moved to a fully virtual event. Any changes will be emailed to the email address used in registration. Race registration is non-refundable.

FREE STUFF
The first 150 people to register will receive both a plush sport towel and the neck/face gaiter mask. Those who choose to participate virtually or donate their registration fee will have their gifts mailed to the address used for registration. All items will be mailed by 11/2/2020. Those who to choose to partipate on 10/31/2020 will receive their gifts at the time of registration on day of event. 

WHAT IS A VIRTUAL RUN?
In a virtual run, you can run or walk the 5K on your own, or with family or a friend (making sure to follow social distancing guidelines) anytime between October 1 and October 31. Your run/walk does not have to follow the normal race route, and it can be done anywhere in the world.

When finished with your 5K, you can submit your time, if you would like, using the different options listed below.

You can do your 5K and submit your time anytime between October 1 and October 31 at 11:59pm.

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR TIME?
You may submit your time for the 5K Virtual Run/Walk between October 1 and October 31 at 11:59pm by following the directions below.

If you run/walk in the In-Person race you can submit your time on October 31 prior to 11:59pm.
