Augsburg PA Run for the Health of It 5k Run/Walk 2023

Join the Augsburg PA Program as we bring our annual 5K Run and Walk back! Come support the Augsburg PA Program and run for the health of it! We are hosting a 5k on May 6th, 2023 to raise funds for the Student Society. We are also pairing with the Health Commons and gathering supplies for them to donate to community members in need.

Every runner will receive a bib and a reusable aluminum water bottle.

Race Day Schedule:

4:45 - 5:20pm Check in and Registration (Walk-ups welcome! $30 cash or check at the door)
4:45 - 5:20pm Optional Stretching and Warmups
5:30pm Race Start!
6:45pm Awards and Ceremony

Snacks and Waters will be provided!

FAQ

What is the cost?
In-person running is a $30 registration fee to cover a donation, a running bib, and a water bottle
At-home racers will have to pay a $10 minimum donation fee
Our pay-what-you-can cheerleader option has no minimum

What donations are you looking for?
We are looking for the following items that are frequently requested by the Health Commons:

• Deodorant
• Diapers (size 3, 4, 6 needed most)
• Razors (3+ blades only)
• Toothbrush
• Toothpaste
• Smaller shampoo/conditioner bottles
• New men's/women's underwear

Will there be medical personnel on hand?
Yes, we will have a certified athletic trainer on standby at the first-aid tent.

How safe is the route?
The route does cross the road at least once so run at your own risk and watch for cars!

Are kids allowed?
Yes! Kids and strollers are allowed and kids can join for free!

Are pets allowed?
Sorry, but due to the number of people and other factors, we ask that pets stay home for this one.

What if it rains?
We are planning on running in the rain but if there are severe storms in the area, we will delay or cancel the event.
If the path is flooded, we have an alternate route mapped out!

Will you keep track of time?
We will have one main running clock but if you want to keep track of your individual time, please do so!

What is parking like?
There is a lot near the pavilion that should be free, but we do not have a place sectioned off so plan accordingly.

Restrooms?
There are public restrooms at the park.
