Green Lake Road Race
12 mile run - Individual, 2 Person Relay or 4 Person Relay
Online registration ends June 30th, 11:59pm CST
Packet Pickup will be July 3th at 6:00am in Zorbaz parking lot, Look for the Tent.
Race day:
Race start time is 7am. The start location will be by Mel’s sport shop and the fishing access. Plan to be at the starting line ten minutes ahead of your start time for the prerace meeting.
You should have your bib number attached on the front of your shirt just above the waist to get the best read-rate. Bibs located anywhere else will have a lower read-rate. Bib numbers need to be visible when you cross the finish line.
Water stop locations: 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 mile marks. Bottles will be available for pickup at each stop (water only). Trash cans will be spaced along the course. Please DO NOT drop bottles on the course. Please carry the bottle to the near trash or next water stop.
Two utility vehicles will be patrolling the course. Extra water will be available on the carts.
Upon finishing the race, prepackaged refreshments will be available for each runner.
Times will be available on-line at www.pickleevents.com . The award winners will be posted on-line as well.
Awards presentation will be behind Zorbaz on the deck. Estimated time of 9:15 am.
Special instructions for the relays:
The bus is back for 2022! The bus will leave at 7:05 am, just after the race starts. Cheer on the runners as you pass them. The bus will make laps around the lake dropping off runners at their starting point and returning runners to the finish.
If you do not wish to use the bus service, please plan your return trip to the finish or home.
Relay spots will be at the same locations as 2021. Restrooms and water available at each exchange point.
2 person Relay exchange location: 6 mile mark (Run across the mat)
4 person Relay exchange locations: 3.25 mile, 6 mile mark, 9 mile mark
RUNNERS SHIRTS
Runners pre-registered by June 20th will be guaranteed their shirt size. After June 25th race shirts are on as first come first served basis until sold out.
DIVISIONS
Men: 1-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70 plus
Women: 1-9,10-14, 15-19, 2 0-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, and 60-64, 65-69 and 70 plus
Family: Average time for 2 runners of the same family (A. Husband-Wife | B. Parent-Child | C. Brothers and/or Sisters)
Relay Teams: 2-person, 4-person. No breakdown by gender or age.
Awards: Presentation of awards will be held behind Zorba's.
Who wears the bib numbers?
The first runner will start off with the bib. As you enter the exchange just hand the bib off to your next runner. The bib number must be visible when the last runner crosses the finish line.
How do we get to the transition areas?
Plan to have a family member pick you up or drop a vehicle near the transition area prior to the race.
How do we get back to the finish?
A runner must provide his/her own transportation to and from the transition area.
Where are the transition areas?
Transition areas are located at 3.5, 6 and 9 mile points. Look for the sighs and volunteers.
What do we do in the transition area?
The runner will entering the transition area and the next runner will take off.
