Rock Island Relay

Join us for the inaugural Rock Island Relay, a 27+ mile relay race on the Rock Island Spur of the MKT trail from Chilhowee, Missouri to Pleasant Hill, Missouri on Sunday morning, November 26 at 8am.  The relay race is open to teams of five members and each team is responsible for their own transportation along the course.  There will be four transition stops along the course approximately every five miles and there will be water, Gatorade and nutrition at each stop. The cost is $100 per team and we ask that you only sign up once you have recruited your other team members.  The first team member to register will sign up, "create a team" and team name and then share it with other team members, who will "join the team" selecting the team from the drop down menu of teams that have been created.  Each individual registration is $20, plus fees.  The top team will receive the Golden Spike award, a traveling trophy awarded to the top team each year and displayed at the Lee's Summit KC Running Company store between events, together with bragging rights for the following year until the next event.  All participants receive a 1/4 Rock Island Relay pullover.  We hope that all of the teams will stick around after the race for breakfast in Pleasant Hill (breakfast not included in the registration fee).  Registration is limited for this inaugural event so don't delay, get your team together and register today!
