VIRTUAL 2020 - Annual Veterans Day Honor Walk and 5k Run

The 3rd Annual Veterans Day Honor Walk and 5k Run is sponsored by the Truman VA Medical Research Foundation (TVAMRF) to celebrate the military service of Veterans with Veterans and their friends and family in a healthy focused way.  We do this to support the vital medical research conducted at the Harry S Truman VA Hospital and get the message out to the mid-Missouri community.

We waited as long as we could but decided we could not hold an in-person event this fall. So due to COVID19 considerations the event this year will be VIRTUAL.  Get your miles in on your course on your own day, on your path and at your own time. You can even spread it out over a couple of days!  Get out and enjoy the fall weather when you can.

Proceeds from this VIRTUAL event go to support our mission driven nonprofit focused on supporting Veterans' medical research and education at the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital.  Our goal is to improve the quality of life for veterans through research.  Now more than ever we need your help.  We have lots of research projects focused on veteran health lined up for the winter and spring but as a nonprofit we don't have a lot of margin for operations.  Like many of you - we are cutting corners and scrapping for every dollar we can get and you can help us get through to 2021.

Our financial situation necessitates the use of our race logos and themes from last year on our t-shirt give aways.  They are just as soft and comfy as last year's.  We are also selling a limited supply of hoodies for your comfort and leisure!  Whoa nellie those are terrificly comfortable on those cooler afternoons.

Walkers and runners are invited to join us at via the virtual event to support Veterans in our community in a fun and healthy way.
