Unfortunately, due to St. Louis County’s COVID-19 restrictions, the Suicide Prevention Light The Darkness 5K & 1 Mile Glow Run has been canceled this year. We hope to run our normally scheduled event in 2021.
If you still want to contribute to the cause, please donate directly to the “American Foundation for Suicide Prevention” or to the “CHADS Coalition for Mental Health” via their websites via the links below. These two organizations are where 100% of the proceeds from the Glow Run normally go to.

Help us continue "Light the Darkness" this year! As a part of National Suicide Prevention Week, join us wherever you choose in a virtual 5K/1Mi event to raise money for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and CHADS Coalition for Mental Health. Although we cannot honor those lost together this year due to COVID-19, we can still rally to provide much needed help to the local organizations doing work in our community to reduce the risk of suicide and provide resources to those struggling.
Register for the 5K or 1 mile distance for just $25. We are asking participants to complete their desired distance in the location of their choosing during National Suicide Prevention Week (9/6 - 9/12) and share your photos and videos with us. All registered participants will receive a custom event tshirt and finishers medal as well as a few glow items to help you get in the spirit. We will be offering memorial tags for sale for $3 each if you would like to commemorate someone you have lost. Keep an eye out for more details on ways to share your photos and help raise money for these organizations.
Participants must register by 8/16 to receive your packet beginning 9/6. Participants registered 8/17 - 9/12 may pick up their packet at a later date. Packets must be picked up from the JFK Community Center located at 315 Howdershell Rd. Florisssant, MO 63031 and cannot be mailed.
100% of the net proceeds will be donated to two local mental health and suicide prevention organizations to help fund outreach programs in our local schools including the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and CHADS Coalition for Mental Health.
