Description
Joplin Parks and Recreation along with Liberty Utilities proudly presents May The Forest Be With You 5k run in conjunction with Joplin’s Annual Earth Day Celebration. This event celebrates National Arbor Day, the 10-year anniversary of the Joplin Arboretum, and the 11th year Tree City USA designation.
Enjoy a morning 5k run through Joplin’s Landreth Park and the Frisco Trail, and then stick around for the Annual Earth Day Celebration. There will be educational booths, workshops, live music, food vendors, and a plant sale.
Registrations received by April 12, 2019, will guarantee a T-shirt.
Packet Pickup: Joplin Athletic Complex, Friday April 26, 10am-6pm.
Runners will receive:
Official men’s/women’s cut race shirt
Finisher Medal
3-gallon tree, compliments of Liberty Utilities
Timed Results
Age group awards will be given to the top runner in each 10 year age group.
Event brought to you by Liberty Utilities, Missouri Department of Conservation, and Wildcat Park Friends Group, Joplin Tree Board, and Missouri Master Naturalist.
