Description
A hybrid distance triathlon held on Weatherby Lake, Missouri, in honor of fallen soldier, Jeremy Katzenberger, who grew up on the lake and is a true American hero! Varying course distances, as well as team and individual options are available.
Packet Pickup
Packet Pickup will be at C-Point (7700 NW Scenic Dr.) on Saturday, September 9th,. Times for packet pickup will be sent out closer to the race date. Participants may also pick up packets on race day beginning at 6:30 am. Participants must be present to pick up their packets, and must sign waiver before receiving packets.
Awards
Age group, gender, and overall awards will be given.
Course Options
Long Course: 1200 yard swim, 11 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
Short Course: 400 yard swim, 11 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
Individuals may choose long or short course.
Teams must do the long course.
A special team category is available for families who would like to participate together and complete the short course. In order to qualify for the family event, ALL members of the team must be from the same family.
Sua Sponte Foundation
Proceeds go to the Sua Sponte Foundation, a 501c3 charity created to serve the warriors and families of the 1st Ranger Battalion. This foundation supports the needs of Rangers and their families during times of crisis. For example, during the Katzenbergers’ time of crisis, the foundation helped provide funding for family travel, military support, and family relocation. Last year, we donated over $10,000 to Sua Sponte from this event!
Entry Fee
July 4-31 $50 individual/ $120 team
August 1-31 $60 individual/$150 team
September 1-4 $70 individual/$180 team
Registration closes on Monday, September 4th at midnight. There will be NO race day registration!
